Refund Policy

At The Vinayaka, we are dedicated to providing eco-friendly idols of Lord Ganesha, crafted to the highest standards of quality and tradition. Our idols are made from natural soil and designed to dissolve in water — a reflection of our commitment to sustainability and reverence for Lord Ganesha.

Because our idols are handcrafted, delicate, and seasonal, please read the following carefully before placing your order.

Cancellation:
You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it by contacting us at contact@thevinayaka.ca. After this 24-hour window, all sales are final and orders cannot be cancelled or refunded.

All sales are final. Once the 24-hour cancellation window has passed, all idols and festive or decoration items are sold as final sale and cannot be refunded.

What you reserve is what you receive. The idol you select is reserved exclusively for you. When you place your order, we recommend taking a photograph or noting the details of your idol, so you have a clear record of the idol you have chosen. At pickup, you will receive that same idol.

Handcrafted idols. Our idols are handcrafted from clay and Paper Mache. Slight variations, marks, or natural characteristics are inherent to handcrafted idols and are part of the unique idol you selected — they are not considered defects.

Exchanging for a different idol. While all sales are final, you may exchange your reserved idol for another available idol of equal or higher value, up to the time of pickup and subject to availability. Any price difference is payable at the time of exchange. Where the difference would be in your favour, it is provided as store credit toward other idols or décor — it is not refunded. An exchange is not a cancellation or a refund.

In-person pickup. Orders collected in person are received as the idol you selected and reserved. Please inspect your idol at pickup, against your photograph or notes, before leaving the store. Once collected, idols are not eligible for return or exchange.

Damage caused by our handling — the only exception. If an idol is significantly damaged due to our store handling, we will provide a replacement from available eligible idols, or a refund to your original payment method if no suitable replacement is available. This is the only circumstance in which a refund is issued.

Décor and other items. Décor and all other (non-idol) items are for immediate pickup only and are not held for later collection. We recommend purchasing these in store and collecting them the same weekend.
